Hi, I’m Rohan Jasani, MS, CNS

I help people effectively utilize natural & integrative health approaches to address their health challenges.

I’m here to provide you with the guidance, support & tools to navigate these new waters both effectively & safely.

Currently, I work with clients on a part-time basis, as time permits.

My Philosophy

I believe integrative approaches have much to offer and in many cases, there are no equivalents in the conventional medical world.  However, they aren’t always appropriate to use or to solely rely on as an alternative to conventional care, nor may they be indicated in certain health challenges & cases. Many other times they aren’t applied in the most effective ways, yielding poor results.

I have a keen interest in helping people apply natural integrative approaches effectively and in the appropriate cases, when indicated.

Journey

In 2005, before diving headfirst into the herb world, I worked as an electrical engineer & technology consultant in the telecommunications field.

I was at a crossroads in my life.  I questioned many things personally and within the greater world.  A deep calling to explore how societies & communities once lived before modernity emerged to truly understand how we arrived at the world I grew up in, what we gained, what we lost.

As a result, in 2006 I decided to leave everything behind. I quit my job. Sold my things. And took off for the remote jungles of India. I lived with indigenous people working alongside an activist couple working for artisan & tribal rights, environmental sustainability, amongst other causes. I spent my days living close to the land, in-tune with the seasons, immersed fully in traditional rural living with most of my days spent living with the local indigenous peoples.

I got to experience traditional life and learned of what we left behind in the transition to modernity. I gained deep insights into the tradeoffs that were made with respect to diet, lifestyle, exercise, community, spirituality, sleep and other aspects of living. Particularly, I realized how some of these tradeoffs were the cause of many of our modern day challenges from the individual through the community & societal levels.  I reconnected with nature and plants in simple yet profound ways and got to directly experience herbal & dietary approaches to healing, as I got sick more times than I like to have 🙂  In the end, I became a student of nature.

After returning stateside in 2008, I greatly deepened my exploration into the arenas of health & wellness, meditation, herbal medicine, nutrition, permaculture amongst others. Initially I started off with self-study & experimentation and eventually into formal training at institutions & universities.  During that time, I too experienced my own digestive health struggles, allowing me to test out my new learnings.

In 2014, I quit my job again, so I could dedicate myself full-time to building an clinical integrative health practice, running a university medicinal herb garden and to further deepen my studies.

In 2017, I decided get back into the UX Design field and just work with clients outside of work on a more informal basis.

Currently, I’m in the process of relaunching my clinical practice into more of a donation-based model and continuing my teaching activities to help spread this knowledge & help those looking for guidance.
